Pepsi to Open up 'Hipster Bar' and Restaurant in Manhattan

The restaurant will serve customers with food and beverages made out of kola nuts.

Even without maximum exposure through rebranding or extensive marketing strategy, surely PepsiCo can still indulge in the privilege of having an enduring popularity as its name has echoed through most part of the world and its flavor has successfully satisfied various different even in those segmented parts of the globe.

In spite of having that relatively high popularity assurance, the brand PepsiCo is eager to make its soda even edgier than it already is by opening up its own restaurant with cuisine ‘inspired by the exploration of the kola nut’, as cited in dailymail.co.uk.

Kola House is scheduled to open this spring in Manhattan and the management is hopeful that at times when soda consumption is evidently cut back by many, New York can provide a solution to redecorate its image through ‘experiential lounge’ to attract people into drinking soda again and indulge in sides they have never been in before.

Newyorktimes reports that Pepsi will soon become Kola House, “a restaurant-bar-event space that the company hopes will be both social hub and testing ground for new products”.

Chief marketing officer for PepsiCo’s North American Beverages Seth Kaufman explained that the company “wanted to create a modern hub for consumers to share social and immersive experiences that were anchored in the exploration of our cola’s artisanal craft and flavor”, cited in Fortune.

“This isn’t a pop-up, this is something much bigger than that. It represents a new space for us to support our consumer-first approach to drive authenticity and innovation around our beverage offerings and ideals,” he further explained.

It is informed that the Kola House will be opened in the busy area of Meatpacking District for people to notice it even more. The company promises to serve consumers with a wide range of food and beverages made by kola nut and therefore specialized alchemist and executive chef are specifically chosen to satisfy many people’s growing curiosity.

Pepsi and other drinks made by PepsiCo will be served at the restaurant, and the Pepsi logo 'will be subtly included in the space'.

PepsiCo's head of design Mauro Porcini said that 'Consumers will love your brand because your brand enables you to have the experience, but they don’t want to have the brand in their face.

'It needs to be very subtle, elegant, sophisticated.'
