Accompanying Jokowi to Malaysia, RI First Lady is Equally Busy

The purpose of President Jokowi's visit is to strengthen the bilateral relationship with the current Chairman of ASEAN.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo along with his wife Iriana Joko Widodo and his entourage have arrived in Malaysia for the purpose of friendly visitation to the neighbouring country. The President himself is preoccupied with piling up agenda and his wife, unlike any other previous Indonesian First Ladies, is also busies herself with agenda of her own. One of the agenda she has to do is to pay a visit to the Malaysia Permata Education Centre where she will be accompanied by the wife of Malaysian Prime Minister, Datin Sri Rosmah Mansor.

According to the information received by Liputan6.com and given by the press bureau from the protocol- makers of Presidential Palace, Iriana and her entourage will be heading to the education centre which is located at Kota Putra Jaya. They are scheduled to arrive on the location at 10.00 am local time.

The education centre is known to be the educational platform for children under the age of 4 years old initially created by the wife of Malaysian Prime Minister. The establishment of this educational centre is based on the intention to provide a qualified kind of education to those even in early ages so that they will grow into a better person with numerous qualities.

Afterwards, Irianan and Jokowi will attend a luncheon held by Malaysian Prime Minister Nadjib Razak at his home office at Kota Putra Jaya, Malaysia.

The reason for Jokowi’s visit to Malaysia is to strengthen the bilateral relationship between the two countries. Thus, a thorough communication with its Prime Minister Nadjib Razak is deemed necessary. Especially, just recently the issue of ‘discriminative’ Malaysian company advertisement lingered in Indonesian people mind. Should Malaysia fail to address this issue, then the consequences will be higly detrimental.

The Indonesian Minister of Foreign Relations LP Marsudi thinks that, with Malaysia chosen as the Chairman of this year’s ASEAN, the meeting with its Prime Minister is very important.

One agenda that needs to be carried out is for Indonesia to inform Malaysia an investment opportunity in Indonesia. With Malaysia potentially becoming interested, the bilateral relationship between the two will be strengthened and surely this will help diminish the recently talked- about issue. (Akp/Ein)
